Atomic Habits. By James ClearBook Review by Jonathan Bowman-Perks

Another really helpful book that has shaped my daily routine rituals and mental and physical health. Much of it is common sense but not common practice and I particularly like the idea of habit stacking positive habits. Making them as easy as possible to do without really thinking so it becomes autonomic. Equally picking the bad habits making them is difficult to do. Examples of this include buying your willpower at the supermarket or in the online shop. In this way you only order the healthy food you want in the online shop said that they’re not in the house for you to get tempted.

Some of his key ideas include

Small ideas can have an incredibly powerful impact on your life

Habits are automated behaviours that we’ve learnt from our lives

Building new habits requires hard to miss cues and a plan of action
