In July 2019, Simon’s friend and co-founder of his adventure, Will Campion, asked him if he was a regular podcast listener. The answer was essentially no; and when he had, it was both occasional and mostly, inadvertently. After a few more exchanges he pressed Simon to listen to Capital Allocators, a US podcasting series founded by Ted Seides. Ted had worked with Dave Swensen at Yale and then Protégé Partners and had created a really impressive and increasingly popular programme. Simon bought the podcasting kit, registered the domains and then a colleague of Will, Nick Rawdon-Jones, kindly offered to build the site.”
