Peter Holliday Executive Director LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art)

20 years experience of transformation in education across the public, private and third sectors, including positions as Chief Operating Officer, Pro Vice Chancellor and Lead Consultant. I have supported educational leaders and chief executives to bring about strategic change in their organisations, including turnaround. With proven ability to operate at strategic, operational and tactical levels, I bring a track record of successful £multi-million board level transformation programmes. I have worked extensively with non-executive bodies to assist them in understanding sector and institutional environments, set strategy and oversee its implementation.

I first came across Peter when we served together in second division headquarters and signal regiment where what he was one of the top troop commanders. Always insightful yet laid-back he had a great love of climbing and would take up extreme climbing challenges in the most extreme weather. Later we both attended the army command and staff college two year course and it was great to see Peter again there. Then we met up at the 30 year reunion and decided to do this interview.

Peter has had a wealth of experience including being the Governor of the London film school, Director of his own strategy management services company for over 12 years and the chief operating officer at Regent group UK. Before that he was the change portfolio lead at the University of Salford a coach and mentor to the UK government for 12 months, the interim Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Cumbria, a consultant at Swanton care and community, a change consultant at the Treloar trust which is a charity and also Director of strategic development at London South Bank University for over seven years. He was also the Director of operations at the Learning and skills Council LSC and had various operational and training appointments in the British Army for almost 20 years. Like me he did his MBA through the open University
