Life used to be very hierarchical. You used to get promoted like climbing up the staircase.
Ultimately you’ll retire a little overweight with a final salary pension scheme – all very comfortable
Now It’s not like that it’s rather like heading in the right direction, but no knowing the destination – it might be zigzagged like getting up stepping stones.Picking up skills on one stepping stone and pick up experience on another stepping stone.
Stepping stones aren’t always in a straight line and occasionally you might hit a stepping stone which gives you good fortune and accelerates you.
