What is Your Leadership Shadow?

01
Jul 2011

As a leader you are under observation 90% of the time. It’s hard to fake it consistently for such lengthy periods of time. That doesn’t stop many charlatans from trying!

It is far easier to be authentically yourself and remember people absorb HOW you are being with them, not WHAT you are saying to them. You “emotionally leak” unintentionally and that has a direct impact on your trustworthiness.

Brain research has shown that within 5 milliseconds of meeting another person you pick up their emotional mood and contagion. The shadow you cast a s a leader is a long one!

Best you make it a positive experience. Choose your thoughts, which directly effects your feelings and so in turn your behaviour and hence your destiny.

Warm regards. Jonathan
