With nearly four decades of diverse experiences and learning from both remarkable and regrettable leaders, Karuna has honed his expertise as a leadership journeyman. His journey began unexpectedly at the prestigious Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, where he underwent rigorous leadership training. From there, he embarked on an enriching career in the Navy, serving alongside highly capable and well-trained men and women while also immersing himself in different cultures and leadership approaches around the world.

After completing two consecutive warship commands, Karuna faced a life-altering choice. Prioritizing his family, he decided to leave the Navy to be a devoted father to his two children and a better version of himself to his supportive wife. As leaders, we often face difficult trade-offs and must commit to our choices wholeheartedly.

Karuna’s journey continued as he became part of a pioneering team at a military leadership center, dedicated to transforming military culture and developing leaders rooted in strong values. His remarkable contributions were recognized by the World Bank, validating the impact of his work with Brunei Government leaders. After retiring from a successful three-decade military career, Karuna became a trusted Senior Organizational Development Consultant for the Singapore Government, leveraging his expertise to empower leaders and facilitate organizational transformations.

For the past six years, Karuna has dedicated himself to coaching and partnering with senior leaders, organizational teams, and middle managers, enabling them to unleash their full leadership potential. His track record speaks for itself, as evidenced by the consistent requests from clients who have witnessed the transformative power of his guidance.

At the core of Karuna’s philosophy lies the value of RESPECT as the foundation for organizational leaders. By embracing empathy as a leadership practice, leaders cultivate humility and foster diversity, inclusion, and a positive people-centric culture.
